Before launching Respect the Whistle, Coach Eddie Ficklin Jr. knew he wanted more than just a logo. He wanted to spark a movement.

As a longtime coach, mentor, and classroom teacher, he’d witnessed firsthand the egos, politics, and burnout that too often overshadow the true purpose of coaching. He envisioned Respect the Whistle as a brand that would restore pride, professionalism, and purpose in the coaching world. But he needed a brand identity that could carry that weight.

He partnered with NewVision Creative Co. to lay a strong foundation that could educate, unite, and mobilize coaches at every level through storytelling, content, clinics, and gear.

Brand Strategy:
We positioned Respect the Whistle as a values-driven brand rooted in discipline, leadership, and integrity. Its tone is direct, grounded, and motivational, built to speak to coaches across sports, especially those navigating the middle phase of their careers. The brand's north star: when coaches coach coaches, everybody gets better.

Visual Identity:
To reflect the mission, we designed a logo inspired by the characteristic whistle and modern sport typography. It’s bold, simple, and unmistakable. The color palette pairs classic monochrome with warm accents to signal both authority and approachability. Fonts were chosen for impact and clarity, balancing tradition with modernity to work seamlessly across platforms and product lines.

The result is a brand identity that doesn’t just look official, it feels like a standard. Respect the Whistle now has the visual language and voice to match its movement.
